State Emergency Department Databases (SEDD) The SEDD are a set of longitudinal State-specific emergency department (ED) databases included in the HCUP family. The SEDD capture discharge information on all emergency department visits that do not result in an admission. Information on patients seen in the emergency room and then admitted to the hospital is included in the State Inpatient Databases (SID). The following links provide detailed database documentation for the SEDD.
Some documents are provided in Adobe® Acrobat® (PDF) format. The amount of time needed to access a document depends on your machine, browser, and Internet connection. PDF files require the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader™, which can be downloaded free of charge from Adobe®. PDF Help provides instructions on how to work with PDF files. |
