AHRQ Releases Methods Series Report #2011-06 (December 2011)

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has released a new Methods Report entitled Methods Applying AHRQ Quality Indicators to Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Data for Ninth (2011) NHQR and NHDR Report (Methods Report #2011-06).

This report applies AHRQ Quality Indicators (QIs) to HCUP hospital discharge data for selected measures in the National Healthcare Quality Report (NHQR) and the National Healthcare Disparities Report (NHDR). The NHQR tracks national trends in healthcare quality. The NHDR examines prevailing disparities in healthcare delivery as it relates to racial and socioeconomic factors in priority populations.
