Kids' Inpatient Database (KID)

The Kids' Inpatient Database (KID) is the largest all-payer inpatient care database in the United States, containing data from two to three million hospital stays. Its large sample size is ideal for developing national and regional estimates and enables analyses of rare conditions, uncommon treatments, and special populations. The following links provide SPSS load programs for the KID.

SPSS load programs may be used to convert the ASCII data files into SPSS format. There is one SPSS load program for each ASCII data file. SPSS load programs are provided for the KID Core and Hospital Weight files by year. The amount of time it takes to access a document depends on your machine, browser and Internet connection.
