Important Checklist


BEFORE YOU PUBLISH WITH HCUP DATA



   Make sure there is no identification of individual persons in your publication, either directly or indirectly.


   Make sure your tables and figures contain no cells with 10 or fewer observations in them.


   Make sure there is no identification of hospitals in your publication. All aggregate statistical reporting should have at least 2 hospitals in any individual cell.


   Make sure you have correctly cited the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) in the abstract and the manuscript. Citation guidelines are at
